Creepy Comics #2 out tommorow!!
Dark Horse's revamping of CREEPY comics has
put some of the best upcoming artists up to the challenge
of creating true horror in illustrated narrative form. The first issue was a massive success in my eyes, an assortment of artists of different styles coming together to
showcase their love of horror, all presented by everyone's favorite Uncle Creepy.
It's been more than three months since the first issue was released (July 15th). The original date of release of issue two was October 28th, a week shy of Halloween. Clever idea, right? Fucking horror comic comes out so close to Halloween to flavor the kids appetite for spooky gory fun. Everybody wins.
However, the issue wasn't on the racks a week shy of Halloween. Instead, it was pushed back a whole month. But after all that waiting and sweating and illogical cussing, the second issue is going to be released tommorow and I am, for lack of a better phrase, completely shitting my pants, especially after seeing Eric Powell's (THE GOON) mean-as-fuck cover art.
Pick it up at your local comic emporium, preferably Melrose Music on Melrose/Poinsettia, if you're a local. And if you're not a local, move to Hollywood to become one.
